During my 6-week AiR at the Buinho Creative Hub in Messejana Portugal, I focused on representations of the people and landscapes that comprise this small community in the Alejento region. I met local residents and researched the area's history and lore. The culminating exhibition of my work combined more than 30 portraits and landscapes that demonstrate the interconnectedness of people to place.
